Social Media (Addiction) & Finding the "Sweet-spot" of Smartphone Use with Dr. Julia Brailovskaia
In honour of International Women's Day, we are joined by Dr. Julia Brailovskaia, who has spent over a decade researching at the intersection of mental health and phone use, with a special focus on social media. She is a private lecturer at the University of Bochum and also an initiator of the German Centre for Psychological Health.
Together, we explore questions like:
- What type of of social media usage patterns will more likely lead to addiction and poor mental health?
- What are the symptoms of social media addiction and what are the first steps you can take if you diagnose these symptoms in you?
- What should parents do to support healthy social media usage with their children?
